I flashed the 'Keychron Link' with the USB-A firmware update while it was connected via USB cable. edit: problem solved! I waited for a few hours while plugged in and the LED light turned green, I unplugged it from the cable and switched to Bluetooth mode, re-paired with my computer and it works again. I tried it on both of my MacBook Pros, and the cable is plugged in correctly and the mode is indeed on "cable". But if I can connect using USB-C to USB-C cable, or using Keychron's cable with a USB-C connector to my dock or directly to my computer, it works.
